One of my favorite plans is from Popular Mechanics which is a platform bed with 6 storage cubbies underneath. This is a very clean traditional design with dimensions for a single bed. It's listed below as Platform Bed with Storage.
One of the easiest plans to build is from Ana-White.com and is called the Easy Teen Platform Storage Bed. This design fits a Queen Sized Bed and has six sideboard storage compartments. The bed is built in two stages. First you build the platform bed. Then you build the storage cubbies and attach it to the platform.
